As part of the school’s work on Christian Distinctiveness, each classroom developed an ‘Area of Reflection’ – this interactive space reflects their half termly Christian assembly themes and is used for class assemblies and for children to reflect on at any other stage. These areas have been very successfully implemented inside and they were keen to develop an outside space to extend this approach. Their recent building work created a fully enclosed courtyard area which is an ideal space for a new ‘Garden of Reflection’. Children have been enjoying using this calm, reflective space for quiet reading, for peaceful sitting and for group or class work.
A blessing of the garden took place on 13th April 2016 by Canon Linda Wainscott.
This project was supported by a grant of £6,000 from The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust, Warwick and £6,000 from All Saints Church, Warwick from the funds they had received from King Henry’s.
