A grant of £4,445 has enhanced Aylesford Primary’s Mathematics curriculum by enabling the purchase of essential resources that foster a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. With these increased resources, all pupils are able to engage with concrete tools, which allow them to visualise and grasp new mathematical ideas. Being able to see and manipulate maths, physically, is a key way in enabling pupils to develop a deeper, and more secure, understanding of their maths and they look forward, as do their pupils, to using these resources throughout our Maths lessons this year.
